Los Angeles Lakers: 3 players facing the most pressure in 2018-19
With a revamped roster and new expectations, the Los Angeles Lakers will be under the microscope for all of the 2018-19 season.
It was quite the offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers, as the arrival of one LeBron James has elevated the organization from playoff hopefuls to possible championship contenders.
The expectations coming out of LA have shifted dramatically. No longer is the team gifted the gift of time in order to grow and develop both as individuals and as a unit.
Results have to start showing up right now, otherwise criticism will follow, unlike anything these youngsters have ever seen.
Some of the baby Lakers have been hyped up for what seems like forever, only now the weight of expectations grows by the day out in La La Land. If they can’t justify the excitement, their careers could change in an instant.
Then there’s a certain No. 23, who after joining this historic franchise will have to defend the move by bringing home the trophy to a city that expects nothing less from its superstars, all while barricading the door as father-time attempts to come inside.
