It was a quiet offseason in Salt Lake City. Other than re-signing forward Derrick Favors, the Utah Jazz made very little news in free agency. Perhaps the biggest offseason splash was the drafting of Grayson Allen with the 21st overall pick.
Of course, this is business as usual in Utah. The Jazz are known for developing their talent from within, and as a small market team, it’s difficult to acquire big-name free agents. However, the roster as currently constructed is enough to compete for a playoff spot in the ultra-talented Western Conference.
Exciting things are happening in Salt Lake City, but some current players enter the 2018-19 season under immense pressure. Whether they’re entering the season off a breakout year, or playing on an expiring contract, there are a few Jazz players who could be on the cusp of a make or break season in terms of their future.
