Chicago Bulls: 5 reasons to be excited for 2018-19 NBA season
1. Bulls have playoff potential
Since Hoiberg took over the coaching reins prior to the start of the 2015-16 season, the Bulls have produced just one playoff appearance during that stretch.
To be objective, Hoiberg wasn’t provided with the kind of roster that was capable of implementing an up-tempo offense, which made for some very interesting moments. Secondly, the main point of emphasis from last season was the development of the team’s younger players, meaning that the win-loss total wasn’t overly important.
That objective will change a bit in 2018-19, though, and rightfully so. For starters, the Bulls’ Big 3 will be sharing the court from day one, something that didn’t happen until midway the fourth month of the season.
This trio of players learning and growing together should account for more wins alone. Furthermore, the addition of Jabari Parker gives Chicago yet another scoring option, which is always a plus because you can never have too many scorers on the court, especially in crunch time.
This, along with the fact that Chicago has a pair of rookies who have the potential to have an immediate impact, should enable this squad to contend for a playoff spot, thus giving Bulls fans a number of reasons to be excited about the upcoming season.
