The new front office has torn the roster apart in search of a new and sustainable core group. That picture is starting to take form as they have brought on a group of impressive young players who appear to have increasingly high ceilings.

The Hawks took a chance bringing on the young Oklahoma stud, Trae Young. This could end up being a huge steal or a colossal failure depending on the much-anticipated development of Young. The original pick was Luka Doncic who seemed to be a ready made star but a draft-day trade with the Dallas Mavericks placed Young and a future pick first-round pick into the open arms of Atlanta.
