The Denver Nuggets stayed relatively quiet this offseason outside of a brand rebuild for the 2018-19 NBA season, but, this year they have three primary trade candidates for in-season transactions.
The Denver Nuggets‘ offseason was spent refining their previous roster with small moves, most in the realm of cost-cutting.
Two major trades headlined what was a calm offseason for the Nuggets as they dealt Kenneth Faried, Darrell Arthur and Wilson Chandler. The trio was sent out of Denver for the sake of cutting their salaries off the books in order to avoid the luxury tax.
In previous years, the Nuggets have been in several trade rumors, including deals for Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and Paul George. Seen as playoff contenders in the Western Conference, the Nuggets figure to be part of several rumors as the trade deadline nears in the 2018-19 season.
As the season approaches, the Nuggets have been involved in Jimmy Butler rumors, but have otherwise had their name evade the limelight. If they choose to swing a deal in the waning moments of the offseason or in the regular season, one or all of the three upcoming players figure to be incorporated.
