2. Rodney Hood

Following a deal at the deadline that brought him to The Land, Rodney Hood had mixed results with the wine and gold.

He averaged just 10.8 points a night in 21 regular season games, refused to check into a playoff game in garbage time, but then went on to put up a combined 25 points over the last two games of the NBA Finals, leaving some to believe he still can be a valuable contributor to a team moving forward.

Surprisingly, the 2018 free agent failed to reach an agreement on a long-term deal over the summer, prompting him to sign a one-year, $3.4 million qualifying offer from the Cavs.

With this deal, Hood has essentially bet on his talents heading into the upcoming season in the hopes it can land him a longer and more lucrative deal in the summer of 2019 when there will be plenty of money to go around.

Health issues aside, Hood has showcased an impressive blend of athleticism and shooting during his four-year tenure in the league, but if he can’t put it all together on a team with plenty of shots to go around, his NBA career could take a turn for the worst.
