3. Mario Hezonja
The “Mario Hezonja project” did not go according to plan for the Orlando Magic. Entering the league as a 20-year-old with so much hype after impressing all over Europe while playing for Barcelona, most people expected much more from the Croatian small forward.
During the 2017-18 NBA season, we pretty much expected his time with the Orlando Magic to come to an end. With Europe being a possible destination, many teams in the EuroLeague made room for Super Mario by offloading players at his position.
Hezonja has previously stated that he is a big fan of Panathinaikos B.C., which is a team from Athens, Greece and one of the best teams in the EuroLeague. As a result, Super Mario’s future seemed to be in Europe and most specifically, in Greece.

But not even a week after the 2018 free agency period kicked off, Hezonja signed with the New York Knicks, the team that gave him a second chance to prove his worth in the NBA.
Even though the official lineups are yet to be announced, Hezonja will likely see a solid amount of minutes on the court. It is up to him to show the whole world that he belongs there.
