Even though the New York Knicks are not competing for a playoff spot in 2018-19, the pressure is catching up to some of the young players.

During the 2018 offseason, the New York Knicks did not actively pursue top free agents, as anticipated. They did draft very well though, as rookie Kevin Knox looks very promising.

With no big-name free agency signings, nobody expects big things from this young core. The Knicks are pretty much looking forward to next year’s free agency with superstars like Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler being heavily linked to the team.

We often see players on championship-caliber teams struggle with the amount of pressure they are under, but that doesn’t mean pressure doesn’t affect members of lower-tier teams.

Playing in the biggest city in the United States automatically affects you mentally. Is it easy being still a teenager and having millions of people discussing your name? Being constantly in the spotlight?
