With the 2018-19 NBA season fast approaching, the Houston Rockets appear to have their eyes set on capturing the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Here are the three biggest takeaways from Media Day.

Despite failing to acquire the likes of Paul George and LeBron James via free agency, the Houston Rockets still feature one of the top teams in basketball heading into the 2018-19 NBA season.

Houston, which came into the summer with $77.5 million guaranteed to players on its roster, became one of several teams to join the luxury tax bracket this summer after retaining the services of Chris Paul and Clint Capela, while also adding several new pieces alongside Eric Gordon and James Harden.

Now, the Rockets will attempt to recreate the same success from a year ago, as the squad that won a franchise-best 65 games last season strives to reach the NBA’s Mount Olympus for the first time in over two decades behind head coach Mike D’Antoni.

Does Clutch City have enough to come out victorious this coming season? Here are the three biggest takeaways from Media Day.
