The Oklahoma City Thunder traded for Hamidou Diallo during the draft, and they hope he will be a contributor soon. Here are three goals for his rookie year.
The Oklahoma City Thunder went into the 2018 NBA Draft without a first round pick. They were unable to move into the first round, but they were able to draft two second round players and trade for a third.
Devon Hall was picked with the 53rd overall pick and Kevin Hervey was picked with the 57th overall pick. The Thunder were able to trade for Hamidou Diallo out of Kentucky at No. 45. He was originally picked by the Brooklyn Nets and is OKC’s only second round pick from this year’s draft signed to the roster, earning a three-year deal.
Diallo will have a chance to earn some playing time and try to produce in his rookie season. At Kentucky, he averaged 10.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game on a talented roster that included first round picks Kevin Knox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
He will join great players like Paul George and Russell Westbrook on the Thunder and should look to provide depth for the bench. Here are three goals for his rookie season.
