Even with a bevy of veterans on the roster either in or past their prime, the Houston Rockets still have players capable of showing improvements in 2018-19.

Despite coming oh-so-close to a berth in the NBA Finals last year, the Houston Rockets have tweaked a good amount of their supporting cast for the upcoming season.

Obviously, this team still rides and dies with the point god duo of Chris Paul and James Harden, but with a few new pieces on the roster, it’ll be interesting to see how the newbies are utilized and whether or not they can put Houston over the top.

For all three of these guys who happen to be first-time Rockets, their reputation has mostly been set in stone for good or for bad, with some questioning their talent as legitimate NBA players.

However, one should never underestimate the effect a fresh start can have on a player, breathing new life and bringing with it new opportunities. On a Mike D’Antoni-led team, there are sure to be plenty of chances for these guys to thrive.
