By Tony Pesta
In many ways, the 2018-19 NBA season will be an experimental year for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will not be competing for an NBA championship this year. At best, they will make it to the playoffs and have a competitive first round series. Therefore, this season should be seen as an experiment.
There isn’t much at stake this year. No looming free agency decision. No title expectations. Nothing but rebuilding the team and playing at an above .500 level.
This means there should be room for the Cavaliers to test out a few different things. Different players should get chances to shine throughout the season. Most importantly, new lineups should be tested this year.
Head coach Tyronn Lue will likely be tinkering with different ideas and rotations. This roster has seen a slight mix up and there are a number of different combinations that Lue could try out. Finding out which lineup works best will be vital for the future of this team.
Here, we will look at the three lineups that Lue needs to be attempting this season. Whether they work out or not, these rotations deserve a chance on the court.
