Boston Celtics: 3 bold predictions for 2018-19 NBA season
The 2018-19 NBA season is another day closer. Here are three bold predictions for the Boston Celtics ahead of the new campaign.
The 2018-19 NBA season is right around the corner. Teams are starting to have Media Days and training camp will follow after that. For the Boston Celtics, their media day will be on Monday, Sept. 24.
NBA preseason is also coming up at the end of this month, so the season is right around the corner. Boston fans and players couldn’t be more excited, and rightfully so when looking at the overall picture and expectations for the upcoming season.
It appears they will be getting back a healthy Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. Getting both back will be a major bonus to their lineup because the Celtics were a team that struggled offensively.
Irving was the most dominant player in that category, averaging 24.4 points per game. Hayward was an All-Star during his last healthy season and his best quality is his offensive game. It will be interesting to see how they both rebound from their injuries.
The Celtics’ projected lineup of Irving, Jaylen Brown, Hayward, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford is a deadly one. There’s no reason this team shouldn’t contend for an NBA championship. All eyes will also be on the development of the two young prospects, Brown and Tatum.
The two are looking to be a force in the NBA and that time may be sooner rather than later. The talent is there and the coaching of this team should make them all the better. Let’s dive right into this and look at three bold predictions for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
