2018-19 is looking to be a bridge season for the New York Knicks, but many players have a chance to prove their worth and play above expectations. Here are three players that have a chance to have breakout seasons for the Knicks.

Coming into the 2018-19 season, the New York Knicks are in an interesting situation. With a new coach, a new mindset and without their best player Kristaps Porzingis for most likely the entire season, the Knicks are in rebuilding mode.

That being said, many players on this roster have a chance for breakout seasons. With the situation the Knicks are currently in with a first year coach, many players will have a chance to show their talent this upcoming season.

Last season, the Knicks had many players who played either above expectations or below expectations. This season, coach David Fizdale will look for more production out of a team that lacked production in a lot of areas last season.

With a roster filled with some expiring contracts and youth, plenty of players will have a chance at cracking the rotation this year.

Fizdale’s gritty defensive coaching style will force players to work on both ends of the floor to earn minutes on this team. This culture change should spark improvement on both ends of the floor and fix some of the consistency issues that plagued this team last year.

With all the rumors surrounding the 2019 loaded free agent class, many fans are overlooking this season, but here are three players that in my opinion have the potential to have career years for the Knickerbockers.
