4. Cedi Osman and Rodney Hood will rise

Two players that have great potential for this team are Rodney Hood and Cedi Osman. These players could turn into valuable pieces for the Cavaliers and I think they will prove it this year.

Hood was shaping up to be an efficient scorer with the Utah Jazz. Before being traded last season, he was averaging 16.8 points per game on 42.4 percent shooting from the floor.  Hood was one of the teams main scoring options and he was thriving.

Then, when he joined the Cavaliers he lost his role as a prime scorer. He fell deep into the bench rotation and lost his confidence. This directly impacted his game and hurt his reputation.

This season will be drastically different for Hood. He will once again be one of the best scorers on the team. This increased role will give him a chance to get his confidence back and return to his former self.

As for Osman, he has been on a mission to improve all year. He has shown promise as a player who is capable of affecting the game in every facet. He is a bigger player with playmaking and shooting ability. Osman also has hustle and drive that makes him a scrappy defender.

The Cavaliers could experiment with adding both of these players into their starting lineup as a form of the “death lineup.” Having numerous tall players with all-around talent is the newest NBA trend. Osman and Hood may be the Cavs best bet of creating this form of a lineup.
