4. Joe Ingles will lead the league in 3-point percentage

Joe Ingles has finished (tied for) fourth and third in 3-point percentage the past two seasons.

Last year, Ingles was 2.8 percent behind the league leader (Darren Collison) and 0.5 percent behind second place. The season prior, Ingles was just 1.1 percent behind then league leader (Kyle Korver) and 0.3 percent behind second place.

In other words, Ingles has been very close to being the league leader twice already. Now he’s a part of the best starting lineup he’s had since coming to Utah that has had a whole offseason to bond and learn the playbook even better.

Why not Joe Ingles?

Ingles’ 3-point percentage has increased since he’s come into the league, but so has his volume; culminating in a 44.0 percent mark from beyond the arc on 5.7 attempts a game. His number of 3-point attempts next season figure to hover around there with the emergence of Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio‘s newfound consistency from the 3-point line, but that should help Ingles move toward the top of the leaderboard.
