3. Dwight Powell

Since entering the league as the 45th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Dwight Powell has seen steady improvement in each of his first four seasons, continuously upping both his points per game and field goal percentage.

Standing at 6’11” with incredible athleticism, Powell is still somewhat of a raw talent, but he can provide energy with his all-out assault on the rim and the glass.

Other than a 40-year-old Dirk Nowitzki, the Mavericks don’t have another legitimate power forward on their roster besides Powell, leaving the door open for the Stanford University product to claim more minutes for himself.

Powell has always been a player who produces in limited playing time. Assuming more minutes are thrown his way, we’ll hopefully see that production show up in the stat sheet.
