With a roster filled with young talent, the Dallas Mavericks are expected to see a few of their players show improvements from last season.

The Dallas Mavericks are attempting to build from the ground up after years of just not being quite good enough to realistically compete for championships.

So far so good in Dallas, as the team has appeared to hit right with its lottery picks, selecting Dennis Smith Jr. and Luka Doncic in consecutive drafts, while picking up some interesting young talent with potential upside along the way.

Now comes the difficult part: actually getting the players to perform at a high level.

Some players on the Mavericks have already hit their ceiling, while others still have plenty room to grow at both ends. Whether due to increased opportunity or simply extra time in the gym this past summer, Dallas is likely to see growth from some of its players — a sign that the team is heading in the right direction.
