The Philadelphia 76ers have a few particular players who must rise to the occasion this season. Here are three candidates for breakout campaigns in 2018-19.

The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to be back in serious playoff contention this year, but they are going to need a few players to exceed their current expectations.

The organization has been notorious for grooming its young players before they see any considerable time on the floor — and so far, the patience has been very rewarding.

Markelle Fultz and former 76ers center Jahlil Okafor are the only top draft selections in recent memory who’ve actually played at the beginning of their rookie seasons. Other notable names such as Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Dario Saric all missed at least one year with the team before finally making their NBA debut.

Since some of the darkest days of the franchise, each draft pick has shown his worth, but a few still have yet to hit their stride. Here are three candidates who could be set to break out in 2018-19.
