Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 bold predictions for 2018-19 NBA season
By Ryan Piers
The Cleveland Cavaliers enter a new era in 2018-19 as they hope to continue their streak of playoff appearances. Here are some bold predictions for the new season.
One of the greatest philosophers of our time, Ed Sheeran, once said, “Be original, don’t be scared of being bold!”
His cheesy words are applicable to the Cleveland Cavaliers as the team navigates this new post-LeBron James era. The franchise has been here before, kind of. Now it has a championship, so there’s less pressure to immediately build to an NBA title.
The team retains one star, Kevin Love, as it navigates uncertain waters. His crew consists of young talent and a coach still proving his worth.
As they brace for impact — the reality of once again playing without The King — the Cavs ready the cannons, uncertain of who among their deep, but unproven arsenal will prove potent.
So many questions must be answered. Can Kevin Love return to stardom? Who will step up as the No. 2 and 3 scorers? Will Collin Sexton be an elite, NBA point guard? The front office and coaching staff have already made some bold decisions, and will need to continue to do so moving forward.
Like Cleveland, we’re going bold here with three predictions. No holding back. No half-limb guesses. You may think this is crazy talk and maybe it is, but these are crazy times in Cleveland. At least you, dear reader, are going to get your money’s worth.
