The Charlotte Hornets have a lot of questions across their entire roster. So which players are facing the most pressure in 2018-19?

The Charlotte Hornets are an unsettled team going into the 2018-19 season — almost good enough to make the playoffs and not quite bad enough to tank for a top draft pick. As an unsettled team, they have questions at every position on the team outside of point guard.

At center, the incumbent is Cody Zeller, but he could lose minutes to both Bismack Biyombo and Willy Hernangomez. At power forward, Marvin Williams has locked that spot down in recent years, but we could see Frank Kaminksy step up in the final year of his contract to push him a little for minutes.

On the wings, it’s a little harder and depends on where Nicolas Batum slots in the starting lineup. If the Hornets go with Batum at the 2-spot, they have a lot of depth at that position with Jeremy Lamb and Malik Monk. That then leaves the small forward spot to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, with rookie Miles Bridges as his backup. If Batum starts at small forward, the team gets him back at his natural position and allows for more lineup flexibility at the wings.

The pressure will start with new head coach James Borrego as he tries to find the right formula to get the Hornets back into playoff contention this year. But no matter who is playing where, let’s take a look at three players with the most pressure on them this season.
