3. High potential

In the past, even the inter-positional battles on the Phoenix Suns weren’t particularly exciting. If anyone tried to ask you “Who’s better: Danuel House, Alec Peters or Mike James?” then the correct response would be “Who cares?” It’s not like any of those guys mattered in the grand scheme of things for the Phoenix Suns franchise.

However, the Suns are no longer stocked with guys whose ceilings are “bad role player.” Guys like Devin Booker, Josh Jackson, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges could all be stars someday. De’Anthony Melton, Elie Okobo, Dragan Bender and T.J. Warren could all end up as solid starters.

Of course, that’s not to say that each of these players will achieve the best-case scenario for their careers; certainly, some won’t. Still, just the fact that there’s a chance for each of these players being so good raises the stakes, and increases their importance. It makes following along with their development over the upcoming season that much more exciting.
