Los Angeles Clippers: 3 players most likely to be traded in 2018-19
By Justin Rowan
1. Patrick Beverley
Beverley falls into a similar category as Avery Bradley. Like Bradley, he is a talented veteran guard who had his most recent season cut short by injuries.
While Beverley is likely someone the team would love to keep as a leader, the reality is that he probably will have the juiciest trade market out of any of their guards.
As mentioned with Bradley, the team simply has too many guards and not enough time to play them all. If you are a playoff team or are looking to get over the hump, Bradley is likely the most attractive guard on the roster.
He has shown in the past that he has a willingness to accept whatever role is asked of him. He is one of the best defenders at his position and is capable of playing off-ball. This makes him the ideal acquisition for a team that is looking to add more ball-handling and defense. Two of the most valuable commodities in today’s NBA.
Given the value the presence of Beverley has on the Clippers, it’ll likely require a very good offer to pry him away. He’s the exact kind of player you would want mentoring Gilgeous-Alexander and fits well at either guard position. But if the Clippers find themselves on the outside of the playoff picture, it may be too difficult to turn down offers for the 30-year-old point guard.
