1. Guide Rockets to an NBA championship
Over the course of the last decade, James Harden has accomplished just about everything in the game of basketball.
The third overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft has been named to the All-NBA First Team four times, led the league in both scoring and assists, and is one of only two players in NBA history to ever win an MVP and Sixth Man of the Year award in his career.
Now, the only thing that is left for Harden to play for is a title, as finding a way to win the game’s illustrious prize could help one of the game’s most prolific players officially silence his critics once and for all alongside Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.
Although one could argue that The Beard is already regarded as a revered figure by many in Clutch City, guiding the Rockets to their first championship since 1995 would give him the opportunity to place himself in an iconic stratosphere, and become an instant legend to many across the area and beyond.
Should he do so, then Harden would join the likes of Robert Horry, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler in all-time Rockets title lore, and catapult Houston atop of the national sports scene yet once again.
