Dallas Mavericks: Top 5 games to watch in 2018-19
4. Dec. 20 at Los Angeles Clippers
After 10 seasons wearing a Los Angeles Clippers uniform, six playoff appearances and one too many State Farm commercials, it was time for DeAndre Jordan to move on. Teammates Chris Paul and Blake Griffin had both been traded and the Clippers needed to go in a new direction after Lob City.
With all that being said, Chris Paul left the prior offseason on good terms, but still saw his new team, the Houston Rockets, collide with his former teammates on the Clippers. It was a game with multiple players exchanging words, and saw some extracurricular activities after the game.
When Jordan enters Staples Center, it’s just a matter of wherr the conflict will emerge from. Will it be Tobias Harris, who feels he has something to prove as the one of the Clippers’ future stars? It could be Patrick Beverley, a fiery competitor always trying to get under the skin of his opponents.
Emotions always seem to run high when players return to their long-time home, and Jordan is no exception.
