Chicago Bulls: 5 big goals for 2018-19 NBA season
As the offseason draws to a close, it’s time to look ahead to the 2018-19 NBA season. Here are five goals for the Chicago Bulls in the upcoming campaign.
The Chicago Bulls have a habit of making offseasons eventful. This summer, Chicago locked up Zach LaVine to a long-term deal and signed Jabari Parker to a two-year, $40 million deal. Now, with a full roster and heightened expectations, the Bulls are barreling toward the 2018-19 season.
While some fans have raised the possibility of a playoff push in the Eastern Conference, others may have a more pessimistic view of the immediate future for this team. Most NBA experts have picked the Bulls to be basement dwellers in the standings next season.
In addition to signing Parker and LaVine, Chicago also had a solid draft, selecting Wendell Carter Jr. and Chandler Hutchison. Carter should solidify the center position for years and Hutchison is a jack-of-all-trades swingman who should be effective in all facets of the game. Both rookies should have key roles on this year’s squad.
In year 2 of the rebuild, the Chicago Bulls appear to be trending in the right direction. With a talented young core and available cap space to add additional talent in the future, there is reason for optimism in the Windy City. Here are five goals for the upcoming season that should bolster the hopes of Bulls fans.
