The New York Knicks are set for another mediocre season, having been struck down by injuries. Here are five predictions for their 2018-19 season.

After failing to land a big-name free agent yet again, the New York Knicks are not shooting for the stars entering 2018-19. Even though they are a part of a weaker-than-ever Eastern Conference, a solid young core is rarely enough to make it to the playoffs.

Their big star, Kristaps Porzingis, has been out with a torn ACL since February and there is no exact timetable on his return. There is some speculation that he might be back before the calendar flips over to 2019, but no official date has been announced.

Last season, the New York Knicks racked up just 29 wins, good enough for 11th in the Eastern Conference standings.

Now with the addition of Kevin Knox, who was more than impressive throughout NBA Summer League, as well as picking up Mario Hezonja via free agency, things should look better, right?

Well, not exactly. The roster has in fact gotten better, but the Knicks are left without a superstar until Porzingis steps on the floor again.

So what should the team expect in the upcoming season? Here are five realistic predictions for the New York Knicks in the 2018-19 NBA season.
