With fresh news emerging regarding All-Star Jimmy Butler, here’s a trade proposal the Miami Heat could put forth to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On the eve of training camp, one of the more open secrets around the league has finally come to light.
First reported by The Athletic, and later verified by ESPN, All-Star Jimmy Butler and the Minnesota Timberwolves are due to meet this week to discuss their long-term future.
Out of contract at the end of the upcoming season, Butler’s discontent with the franchise has been a background talking point over recent months. However, with multiple reports emerging that the 29-year-old is contemplating his future, a number of alternatives spring to mind.
Naturally, one of those is finding a potential trade partner.
The Miami Heat represent a leading option should Butler and the Timberwolves decide to part ways. Considering Butler’s insatiable appetite for hard work, and the renowned “Heat Culture,” this would appear to be a match made in heaven.
