2. James Harden, Chris Paul finish Top 5 in MVP voting

At times last season, the combination of Harden and Paul was simply unstoppable. The two guards are one of the NBA’s most dynamic duos, both bringing excellent scoring and facilitating skills to the table for the Rockets.

This year, with Paul managing to stay healthy for the entire season, the two will wreak havoc on the rest of the league.

On the stat sheet as well as the court, the elite backcourt combo will shred opposing defenses, feeding their teammates (and each other) at will while also finding plenty of scoring opportunities for themselves.

Hence, when the season comes to a close, both Harden and Paul will wind up in the top five of the 2019 NBA MVP voting. I won’t speculate on whether either one will win the award, but both receive the respect they rightfully deserve.

As a result of their dominant performances, the Rockets will take a trip to the playoffs for the seventh season in a row. If all goes as planned, they may even be able to equal or eclipse the 65 wins they amassed last year.

What will happen when the postseason arrives and the Rockets are forced to square off with the best the Western Conference has to offer, though?

Let’s dive into that question with the final prediction on this list…
