The 2018-19 NBA season starts in a little over a month, and expectations are sky-high for the Houston Rockets as they prepare for another title run.

No one in their right mind is going to deny that the Houston Rockets are one of the NBA’s teams to beat in 2018-19. Apart from the Golden State Warriors, they’re the deadliest team in the Western Conference with James Harden and Chris Paul running the show.

While that may be the case, it doesn’t make predicting what could happen in the coming months any easier. Although parity in the NBA is essentially dead, that doesn’t make any outcome a foregone conclusion.

The Rockets’ roster may look ready to contend for a title, but actually doing it is a whole other thing.

So what can we expect from Houston in 2018-19? No one knows for sure, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pull out our crystal balls and put on our sleuthing hats.

As it turns out, that’s what we’re doing today. With the start of the season just over a month away, we’re going to try and predict what the future has in store for the Rockets. There’s just one caveat. These are bold predictions, meaning they at least attempt to stretch the limits of logic.

So without further ado, let’s take a gander at three bold predictions for the Rockets’ 2018-19 season. Anything can happen in today’s fickle NBA, so don’t discount the possibility of any of these predictions coming true until the season officially comes to a close.
