Rookie of the Year: Marvin Bagley III

The second overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Marvin Bagley III has tremendous potential as a versatile offensive weapon and elite rebounder.

Given the lack of established scoring options in Sacramento, Bagley will likely be able to come in right away and put up numbers, which could prop up his candidacy as the league’s top rookie.

Whether due to his tweener status or simply an undeveloped game, not many people have pegged MBIII as a legitimate candidate for Rookie of the Year.

What position he plays as well as where he fits on the court will certainly play a part in Bagley’s inaugural campaign, but if he can figure all that stuff out early on, he’ll have a chance to make a legitimate case for the ROY award.
