Despite some interesting young pieces, don’t expect anyone on the Sacramento Kings to bring home an NBA award in 2018-19 when the time comes.

The Sacramento Kings have been the symbol of dysfunction for what seems like forever, always making boneheaded decisions that wind up putting them further away from ending what is now a 12-year playoff drought.

Heading into the 2018-19 season, absolutely nobody expects them to compete for a spot in the postseason, as the roster poses far more questions than answers.

This is not to say it is barren of talent, but most of the youngsters still have plenty to prove before establishing themselves as some of the best in the game.

That brings us to the prestigious awards the league gives out every summer. A few of them seem completely out of reach of anyone donning a Kings jersey, while maybe one or two could be had under the right set of circumstances.
