Miami Heat: 3 bold predictions for 2018-19 NBA season

With the beginning of training camp just around the corner, here are three bold predictions for the 2018-19 NBA season as it pertains to the Miami Heat.
Unfortunately for the Miami Heat, the 2018 offseason has not been a prosperous one.
After finishing last season just above .500 and bowing out in the first round of the playoffs, everyone from team president Pat Riley down was aware that their roster construction required some serious alterations.
However, as training camp approaches, the most noteworthy piece of news from the offseason thus far has been the re-signing of veteran sharpshooter Wayne Ellington to a one-year deal.
At his season-ending press conference after bowing out to the Philadelphia 76ers, Riley stated:
Riley: "There is a ceiling to everybody, but right now we have a bunch of guys that can get better. While internal improvement is a huge part of our organization, going outside and trying to find a transformative player, maybe, is probably what our challenge is going to be."

Clearly, there are two parts to this statement. Firstly, snaring the “transformative player” has not happened. With the combination of undesirable contracts and a lack of draft picks, the Heat simply don’t represent as an attractive trade partner. Therefore, the reference to internal improvement is the factor that’s going to have the most significance in the 2018-19 season.
With a young, emerging group of players, and another section of the roster with a point to prove, it may not be all doom and gloom for the Heat this upcoming season.
With this in mind, here are three bold predictions for the 2018-19 NBA season.
