3. Evolve his offensive game

Even though the NBA has turned into a 3-point shooting contest where most teams try to overachieve on the offensive end while ignoring any defensive contribution, good defenders are still being recognized around the league.

There are guys like Larry Nance whose job is to provide a spark of energy with their defensive consistency and their hustle plays, but the real challenge for those guys is to evolve into an all-around star. This is what Nance has to do in the upcoming season.

Nance needs to show the Cleveland Cavaliers and the whole world that he is not just a dunker. Last season, only 1.4 percent of Larry’s points came from behind the arc, something he needs to work on, especially with the team losing a big-time scorer in LeBron James.

Even Blake Griffin, a player Nance has been compared to a lot, managed to evolve his game and add the 3-point shot to his arsenal. Why shouldn’t Nance try to follow suit and expand his range?
