The new NBA season is fast approaching. For the Chicago Bulls, the spotlight shines on high profile players. Here are three Bulls facing the most pressure.

As the Chicago Bulls gear up for the 2018-19 NBA season, the focus will be on several players hoping to carve out their stature on the squad. This season, Lauri Markkanen should be the primary focus of the offense. If he is, this would bode well for the Bulls’ success, both present and future.

Rookie big man Wendell Carter Jr. will attempt to live up to the hype he created during NBA Summer League, where he was swatting away shot after shot. He should have plenty of opportunities to show his defensive prowess, especially with Jabari Parker and Zach LaVine in front of him. Fellow rookie classmate Chandler Hutchison will try to make a name for himself as well, most likely off the bench as a do-it-all swingman.

Bobby Portis is coming off a strong 2017-18 campaign and is gunning for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award as the league’s best role player off the bench.

There are still Chicago Bulls on the roster facing pressure to live up to hype surrounding draft status, huge contracts or being the returning hometown hero. Here’s a deeper look at three Bulls facing the most pressure in 2018-19.
