After acquiring Nerlens Noel in free agency, the Oklahoma City Thunder now have a quality backup center. Here are three goals for Noel in 2018-19.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were able to acquire a backup center in Nerlens Noel this summer in free agency. Steven Adams has been the starting center for years now, but there was a need for him to have a quality backup this offseason.

Noel started his career with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he was injured for his first season. After recovering from injury, Noel came back and had a great official first season.

He finished third in Rookie of the Year voting in 2014-15 with three first-place votes. He followed that season with a better one, averaging 11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in 2015-16.

His first full season with the Dallas Mavericks last year was not a good one, however. He only averaged 4.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game and missed some time with an injury to his thumb.

This year, Noel has a chance at a fresh start in OKC and will be in an important role as the backup to Steven Adams. Here are three goals for his first season with the Thunder.
