3. Devin Robinson

Devin Robinson has the ability to play the wing as well as inside given his 6’8″, 200-pound frame. Granted, he’s still on a two-way deal this upcoming season and a relative long shot for big minutes. After his NBA Summer League performance in Las Vegas, Robinson’s emergence should certainly be one to watch in 2018-19.

During G League play in 2017-18, he averaged 13.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 38.1 percent from 3-point land. Things will be a bit different in 2018-19 for Robinson as he’ll lead the new Capital City GoGo squad. The duration of that experience will be up to him.

Robinson averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks through five contests during Summer League play. He shot 51.5 percent from the floor while showing aggression off the dribble and on the fast break. He’s a player that held his own during the summer, showing off his development in creating his own shot and getting to the rim.

Head coach Scott Brooks will have a lot of youth and options on his hands for the 2018-19 season. Robinson could be one forward who emerges with extra playing time given his versatility and size. Robinson has an opportunity to fill a void in the rotation when the team plays small-ball and switching and guarding the post is required.
