Miami Heat: A trade proposition for the Indiana Pacers

Pacers outlook

In an amazing turnaround, the Pacers find themselves as one of the leading contenders to come out of the Eastern Conference. With first-time All-Star and reigning Most Improved Player Award winner Victor Oladipo leading the way, they will be looking to improve from within with their collection of young talent.

After finishing 12th last season in both offensive and defensive rating, the Pacers are clearly on the verge of something special. As mentioned earlier, some key offseason additions, most notably Tyreke Evans, have also been brought aboard to attempt to take the Pacers to the next level.

So while the upcoming season is at the forefront off their thinking, the summer of 2019 is also looming as an interesting time for the franchise.

Rising star Myles Turner becomes a restricted free agent, and his play this season will certainly determine just how much the franchise values him moving forward. Furthermore, the team has a quartet of players coming out off the books in Darren Collison, Bojan Bogdanovic, Cory Joseph and the aforementioned Evans.

So with a number of players coming out contract, the Pacers’ front office will certainly need to ascertain over the course of 2018-19 who they wish to retain beyond this season, and thus entertain any possible moves to makes the best of the situation.

Hence, this brings us to the Heat, and their prime trade candidate, Goran Dragic.
