Coming off a season with the Rookie of the Year and two players earning All-Defensive Team honors, the Philadelphia 76ers could have a few more names in award contention for 2018-19.

The Philadelphia 76ers have an opportunity to bring home some hardware in 2018-19, but there could be individuals on the roster who are in line to do much more during the regular season.

The 76ers’ starting five is expectedly going to feature Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Joel Embiid — at least to kick off the year.

Simmons set the bar high for himself last season, as he walked away with the 2017-18 Rookie of the Year award. Teammates Embiid and Covington were also named to NBA All-Defensive Teams.

Redick and Saric will continue to find success in their valued roles after encouraging campaigns last year.

The team will also include an assortment of quality bench players who all hold something to prove — most notably the veteran additions of Wilson Chandler and Mike Muscala, who are both looking to end their playoff droughts with their previous teams.

Bearing all of this in mind, here are the 76ers’ best candidates for each of the 2018-19 NBA awards.
