As always, the 2018 NBA offseason did not disappoint. From LeBron James and DeMarcus Cousins changing teams, to the major Kawhi Leonard trade, to teams in the Eastern Conference making moves to stake their claim to the throne, it’s been a busy summer full of player movement.
With the 2018-19 NBA season just around the corner, we’ve already spent the offseason grading every team’s summer and ranking projected starters by position for the upcoming campaign. Now, however, it’s time to turn our attention to awards season.
While the Executive of the Year award is probably the least interesting honor handed out at the end of each season, it’s usually one of the most telling. Whichever general manager goes home with this award either turned a great team into a contender, or made major tweaks to the surprise roster of that season.
