Looking to take another leap forward this season, it’ll be interesting to watch how the New Orleans Pelicans progress as individuals.

As an organization, the New Orleans Pelicans have one of the weirder histories among the 30 NBA franchises.

Founded in 2002, the team played under the Hornets name, moving to Oklahoma City from 2005-07 due to Hurricane Katrina and eventually becoming the Pelicans in 2013.

During that time, the team has seen only one player claim an award when Chris Paul took home Rookie of the Year in 2006. Since then, some have come close, but obviously not close enough.

Looking forward to this upcoming season, New Orleans has a lot to look forward to.

Coming off an appearance in the second round and led by one of the best in the game in Anthony Davis, the Pelicans will look to build off their most successful season of the decade, and given the talent they have, maybe even bring home some trophies in the process.
