2. Increase his assists per game

Passing out of the post is an underrated art. Few centers and power forwards have the ability to find cutters or shooters on the perimeter. Pachulia has consistently improved his assist numbers over the course of his career. Last season, per 36 minutes, he was averaging four assists. He only averaged 14.1 minutes per game last season, and that number should go up. He should make sure that his assists follow that increase.

He will have to adjust to passing to more cutters than shooters, as the Pistons currently lack the shooting firepower that the Warriors had. Players like Stanley Johnson, Glenn Robinson III and Langston Galloway all know how to get to the rim without the ball in their hands. If Pachulia keeps his head up, there will be players for him to find. Griffin and Pachulia would create an interesting pairing of big men that know how to create offense for others.

Drummond has never been known for his passing, but he put up 3.3 assists per 36 minutes last season. That number should improve due to an increased level of offense. The same principle applies for Pachulia. A better offense with a larger role would equal a greater number of assists for him. His abilities and craftiness have earned him a consistent role that he continues to succeed in no matter the situation. He is always adding new wrinkles to it, which should include greater passing.
