MVP: Goran Dragic

A real theme is coming together with this Heat roster, as Goran Dragic has gone from Steve Nash‘s backup way back when to an All-Star point guard.

It wasn’t his best statistical season, but The Dragon still averaged 17.3 points and 4.8 assists per game last year in leading Miami to the sixth seed in the East.

Given the state of the conference, the Heat could theoretically take a leap into one of the top four seed, with Dragic likely leading the way.

However, at 31 years of age, Goran’s best days are hind him, making it unrealistic to assume his numbers will improve, and considering the standard with which MVP’s are held to, Dragic probably won’t have the success — both individually or as a team — needed for serious consideration.
