2. Average a triple-double

An aforementioned increase to double-digit assists on average for Jokic makes the task of averaging a triple-double for the 2018-19 season attainable.

With averages of nearly 18.5 points, 10.7 boards and 6.1 assists a game already last year, Jokic is on the precipice of reaching the milestone already.

Exemplified in his February averages last season (21.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game), Jokic has the potential to approach the triple-double mark when locked in. Though his 3-point percentage of over 56.3 percent was unusual, the usage rate for Jokic in his dominant month was 26.1.

With another year under his belt, Jokic will have the experience necessary to avoid the lulls that forced coach Mike Malone to limit his minutes and opportunities at times.

The adjustment of more ball-handling opportunities for Jokic, as opposed to untraditional point guard Murray, will increase Jokic’s averages, while also increasing the overall team success as shown in his best month in which the team went 7-3.

As the Nuggets’ success rises, along with a triple-double average from the big man, he can set himself up for the league’s most illustrious award.
