5. Develop those young guys

The Cleveland Cavaliers might not top the “most promising young cores” list but they do possess a more than capable group of players that can light it up this year, following the departure of LeBron James.

Let’s meet the guys! First up Larry Nance Jr., who was a pleasant surprise after moving to Cleveland last February. Being a great rebounder and defender, Nance provided the team with a much-needed spark of energy coming off the bench.

Next up, Cedi Osman. The “Jedi” has excited many fans during the summer of 2018.

Having participated in the Summer League as well as in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European qualifiers, Cedi has proved to be a great leader, helping his team win games while he stuffed the stat sheet.

Last but not least, our rookie, Collin Sexton. The 19-year-old point guard out of Alabama helped the Cavaliers go a long way during the Summer League games even though many people questioned whether or not selecting a guard in the 2018 NBA Draft was necessary.

By developing those three, you get a group of promising and hungry young players that could be a part of the organization in the not-so-near future.
