1. Darren Collison

Now, this may come as a little bit of a shock since Darren Collison started in 64 games of the 69 games he played last season. However, if Tyreke Evans does play in his natural point guard position and prove himself worthy of a starting job, Collison may become a surplus.

I can’t envision both Collison and Joseph getting traded, but if Evans earns a starting job and Collison doesn’t want to come off the bench, he may force his way out. As is the case with the other two players on this list, Collison is on an expiring contract and the Pacers may want to get some value for him before he leaves for nothing in free agency.

Collison was a valuable asset for the Pacers last season, as a low maintenance guard is what is needed next to Victor Oladipo. The UCLA product averaged 12.4 points and 5.3 assists per game whilst shooting a career-high 46.8 percent from downtown on 3.0 attempts per game.

Now at age 31, Collison is at the twilight of his career. NBA players are at their prime during the ages of 27-30, and Collison is on the wrong side of that. He may not be able to replicate the year he had last season.

Overall, the Indiana Pacers have got some decent assets to move on in order to improve their squad. The front office may be reluctant to make any drastic moves after how good they were last year. However, this is the NBA and anything is possible.
