2. Thaddeus Young

After being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers in the summer of 2014, Thaddeus Young has never been able to reach the heights he once achieved many moons ago. Young was a quality scorer for the 76ers, averaging 17.9 points in his final season in Philadelphia. Since then, Young has averaged more than 15 points in just one of four seasons.

In the last two seasons with the Pacers, Young has averaged just 11 points per game in 2016-17 and 11.8 per game in 2017-18. These figures are of course disappointing, but they were kind of expected, partly due to the game changing at a stupidly fast rate. It is players such as Young who has suffered from the evolution.

Nowadays, everyone on the floor has to be able to hit 3-pointers, Young is still very unconvincing and unreliable when shooting 3s. He shot just 32 percent on 2.2 attempts per game last season. Furthermore, Young has only averaged more than one made 3-pointer per game just once in his career — the 2013-14 season, his last in Philadelphia.

Despite this, there are still a plethora of teams who would put forth a nice package to attain the former Georgia Tech big man. Similarly to Cory Joseph, Young is on an expiring contract and thus the Pacers may want some value in return.
