3. Cory Joseph

The Indiana Pacers traded with their conference rivals, the Toronto Raptors, for Cory Joseph last offseason. In return, Joseph gave the Pacers solid production off the bench. He didn’t do anything fancy or off the charts; he just did his job as he was expected to.

Although it wasn’t the best year of Joseph’s career, he was still able to average 7.9 points and 3.2 assists per game. Moreover, Joseph was average at best from behind the arc, as he managed to knock down 35.3 percent of his 3-pointers.

Also, with the addition of Tyreke Evans, there’s a possibility that Evans takes some of those minutes at the point guard position. If so, Joseph may find regular playing time hard to come by next season.

Additionally, since Joseph’s $8 million contract is expiring next offseason, the Pacers may want to get some assets for him before he moves on for nothing. Some teams out there would love to have Joseph on their team, so it wouldn’t be hard to find a suitable trade package for the former San Antonio Spurs first round pick.
