1. Tomas Satoransky

Tomas Satoransky was productive when given the opportunity last season. He averaged 7.2 points, 3.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game through 73 appearances but as a starter, his production was even better. In 30 starts, he put up 10.4 points, 5.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 50.8 percent from 3-point range.

Satoransky was used sparingly during his rookie season back in 2016-17, but in 2017-18, head coach Scott Brooks took a chance on him. Satoransky set career-highs in points (25), assists (11) and 3-pointers made (five), mostly with point guard John Wall sidelined with a knee injury. When Wall returned to the court, his playing time went down.

During the postseason, Satoransky averaged 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in just 10.0 minutes per contest. Whatever confidence he built up for himself in the rotation was gone by the end of the season.

Satoransky’s age and upside will be two should entice teams in search of backcourt help across the NBA. Packaging players alongside Satoransky isn’t completely out of the picture, either.

It would be ideal to include Mahinmi as the second player in any trade given contract situations. Satoransky is due to make $3 million in 2018-19 and is only 26 years old.
