The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to make a leap this season. Which players on their roster are likely to be traded in the 2018-19 NBA season?

The Milwaukee Bucks are ready to step forward this season. With star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo being an early MVP candidate, a proven head coach replacing the bewildering Jason Kidd and new frontcourt help added in free agency, the Bucks are looking up.

Yet the reality of the past few seasons is that even if the Bucks do improve, they are not ready to be championship contenders. This roster has too many outsized contracts for players that will likely be outside of the rotation, or play bench roles at the most.

This not only limits their upside for this season, it handicaps them moving forward. Next season, two key starters in Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton will be free agents. To re-sign them with no other cap relief will vault the Bucks into the luxury tax. To let them walk doesn’t even open up significant cap space.

With an eye toward this year’s postseason and next year’s upside, the Bucks will be exploring various trade ideas. Whether shuffling the starters, offloading money or selling low on a recent draft pick, the Bucks have some options now and throughout the season.
